I am a practicing attorney. As a practicing attorney, I have been doing appeals for 20 years. Not all attorneys do appeals. In appealing a case, I research and write about errors that the judge or lawyers made before, during, or after a trial in a lower court. I present these errors to the appellate courts in a brief for their review. The appeals courts can then determine if the law and rules were followed in the case. If the laws were not followed, the appellate courts will reverse the decision or send the case back to the lower court for further action. Writing an appellate brief is very similar to the opinions the appellate courts write when they reverse or overturn a decision.
With my skills and experience, I am qualified to be an appellate judge and would appreciate your vote June 5th. Thank you.
Donna Beaulieu is announcing her candidacy for a seat on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in the Republican Primary June 5th, 2018.
After almost 32 years of working in the legal field, 20 of them as a practicing attorney, and as a small business owner, Donna would like to bring her skills and knowledge to work for the citizens of Alabama as a Judge on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
Donna has handled a variety of cases through the years in many different courts in Alabama, and at all state and federal court levels. She has also handled appeals on numerous and varied issues in Alabama’s state and federal appeals courts.
